    Create a dealership product

     

    Notice the Vehicle checkbox is automatically ticked by default (all defaults above) – Enter the Vehicle Name eg Toyota. A new form will displayed to select or create the Make and Model

     

     

     

     

     

     

     

     

    Vehicle Make is the name of the manufacturer eg Toyota, Honda, Ford etc Vehicle Model is a brand of vehicle sold by a manufacturer eg Corolla, Avensis, Prado, Civic are all models or brand under Toyota The Vehicle Name is a combination of the Vehicle Make and Vehicle Model eg “Toyota Corolla”

     

     

     

     

     

     

     

     

    Ensure to set the right parameters to make Landed Cost work. Landed Costs are a regular feature of car dealership since apart from the cost of purchase, other major attributable costs such as shipping, port clearance etc will need to be added to the purchase cost to arrive at a fair estimate of the unit cost of the vehicle Create a Product Category (eg Vehicles) and Open the Product Category form by clicking the arrow above. Set Costing method to Average or Real Price and Inventory Valuation to Perpetual (automated)

    Confirm Order, then Receive Product

    Enter the quantity received in the arrowed cell above (must be greater than zero and less or equal to the quantity ordered in the To Do field). Then click on Split above The Split action will cause the system to generate unique ID for each vehicle in the order

     

     

     

     

     

     

     

     

     

    Click on the Vehicle ID and enter the Vehicle details for each vehicle

     

     

     

     

     

     

     

     

     

     

     

     

     

     

     

    Then click on Validate. You will be able to create a backorder if required and the same process will be used to received the vehicle with a Unique Vehicle Id The Vehicle Information can also be updated from Dealership>>Configuration>>Report>>Vehicle Information Report

     

     

     

     

     

     

     

     

     

     

    3. Sale of a Vehicle

    Go to Dealership>>Sales Process>>Sales Order. Create

    • Select the product (Toyota Prado)
    • Select the Vehicle Info (the specific Vehicle available for Sale by ID will be listed)
    • Quantity to sell is set as 1 since we are selling a specific vehicle
    • Set the Unit Price.
    • Confirm Sale, Deliver the Product, Create Invoice

     

     

     

    4. Inventory Report

    a) From kanban view of Products, we can see quantity on hand of each type of vehicle

    Click on the product to see more information

    b) From the Vehicle Information Report (Dealership>>Configuration>>Report>>Vehicle Information Report), you can see details about available and sold vehicles
